Season drawing to a close, Sorta...

We went into town for 3 days on Monday and hoped to get some of the snow Steven's Pass got during that time, maybe 2-3" only though. Coming in yesterday the lower portion of the road here was rough due to lots of traffic while snow as very weeet, not bad but used none the less, from Basalt on to Trinity it was smooth as glass with just about 1" of new snow on top. We made the first tracks on it and it was very nice to come home like that. The grooming for the year is over I've been told, so now snow is melting at Fish Lk sno-park but not bad yet, it is good from there just rough to Chikamin Flats stay out of others tracks and it is nice though. Get out and enjoy it while you can it's getting warmer during the day but overall the snow is still on great shape. Get on those sleds and ride or pack your skis and come enjoy the beautiful virgin ski runs we know of, it'll so your body & spirit good. Peace

Thanks for the update. I was hoping for snow like they got on the passes, but every little bit extends the season. I'll be over for a final run with my grandson Friday the 3rd. I hope you'll be doing this blog again next year, it is appreciated when I plan my trips over from the rainy side. Thanks again, Chuck Summers.

You and me both, this entire week while we were in Leavenworth, it snowed like crazy on the pass and south but very little made it here and that continued through the weekend only snow we saw was blowing in from the crest nothing stuck since we were under blue skies. I appreciate your comments, not sure how many people use these updates but I know I would like having them if I didn't live here, especially since the weather is so different here from anywhere else. I hope to do better on keeping up with it
and will be doing it again along with having the Sno-tel sight here at Trinity that has been at Miner's Ridge for the last 10 years. We are really excited about that along with having a snow course here now getting more accurate measurements of snow and density for water prediction. Thanks again

Hey, how about taking a trip to the parking lot and letting us know how bumpy it is without grooming? Just joking but do you think one more weekend?

From Basalt to Trinity is very smooth and nice and fast, from Basalt to Fish Lake was rough when we came in on Thur but it had been ridden on while very wet, not sure about how many sleds were on it this weekend, only had 2-3 sled up this far all weekend so it should be in great shape, just windy...
