Good Morning it's 27.8 degrees and we have gotten another 13" of snow since yesterday giving us a total of 3.6' of new snow since Sat. According to the calender it's St. Patty's day but there is only white no green here. After not getting any significant snow for over 6 weeks we have doubled our snow total in 72 hours, winter is hangin' around which is what we have needed to not have such a bad fire season this summer. Getting this much snow so fast isn't necessarily good for avi conditions, slides will happen since it is falling faster than it can bond. Time to break out the big sleds that haven't had this kind of snow since early Jan to play in. The groomers did groom all the way out here in early am hours still has another 3-4" on top since then. Waist deep POW where it hasn't been groomed or compacted from lots of use. Break out the avi gear and snowshoes get ready to enjoy POW and remember POWer is your friend in POWder.
Peace

awesome will eventually make it out to your place. Tried twice the past two weekends (very few sledders) but the 'greenies' didn't make it over till about 1-2 in the afternoon and we only got about 1/2 way there.

Hi Gregg,
We came and played around in the campground for a few laps last Saturday, great to get some soft snow! Might come up if the weather is bad up high. I think I got a photo of your neigborhood cougar right next to a deer at one of the lower campgrounds; very zoomed and blury pic, about 60% say definitly a cougar and 40% say can't tell. If the snow sticks around I'll come and look for fish again on fridays in April. You should hear the Avys tonight and Thursday! Take care, Brett
Should have stopped in I was home and heard sleds Sat but by the time the I got to TH they were leaving, the dogs of course ran to greet whoever it was. If there was a deer standing next to it you can be sure it wasn't a cougar or it would have been eating it, if on the other hand the deer was down then it very well would have been the Fish Lake/ Dirtyface cougar. He doesn't come up here at this time of year due to my pack who run these woods daily making sure nothing is here that shouldn't be,lol or just something to chase. Don't really want to hear any avalanche's break just yet but it's possible. Stop by next time you are here. Peace
