Finally Something to report
This morning it is 22 degrees and supposed to get colder as the day progresses, we do have .5" of snow this morning after nothing since the Tues before Thanksgiving, but well below the forecast of 1-3". The snow on the trail is very hard until you get to Basalt TH, out to Chikamin, not what high powered sleds need for sure unless it is water cooled of course. Here we still have between 3.5-4' of very hard frozen snow, while at Chikamin is between 12-18" and not sure what is further south at this time. You don't need snowshoes to go anywhere at this time, while up at the dam about 900' above us still has lots of nice POW with a crust but you can definitely punch through occasionally. Get out and enjoy it before it gets really cold this evening and first part of the week, that is if the forecast are correct which so far this season are right 3 days out of the last 1.5 months, I need that job getting paid for being wrong 15:1. Peace
