Very Windy but warmer temps

Well after getting snow night before last and seeing sunshine yesterday the winds started picking up during the day and have continued to get stronger overnight warming things up a bit to 40 degrees, the snow is blowing into drifts but it is the only snow flying right now. We are having gust to 37 mph but sustained winds of over 13 mph this should help the snow we have received to bond to the base we already have, with these winds there are possible trees down on the trail so it could be interesting. We hiked out to the TH parking lot and found out they groomed last night so there might not be any trees on the trail. Hopefully it will get as cold as forecast 22 tonight which would set things up nicely for the races this weekend. Be careful if you get out there in the snow today. Peace

Small crew out this weekend. We may stop in but you will probably be busy with the dog sled race.

Next weekend, we are planning a bigger crowd but don't know if we are coming out your area.

Just discovered your alternative blog- Paradise Found and love it.

Didn't make it to Trinity, but we did stop in at the airport and the girls assisted a couple of the teams in 'socializing'. This was Saturday and was after the short race.

One said the teams were camping out at Trinity. At your place or did they pitch tents?

It was wonderful on the snowmachines.

We had a total of 17 sled dog teams & mushers, some slept in tents and some in the houses where ever they found space. yes it was a good weekend for all involved with the race and snowmobiling. The dogs started singing about 4am and with over 100 dogs close together is was quite loud and it continued until the restart at 8am. Lots of fun. Maybe one day you will make it here. Peace
