Pineapple Express

This morning we woke up to 49 degrees, strong winds, no new snow and they did groom all the way here last night and our snow level is below 4' on gauge. Snow is compact in places but you can post hole if not careful and it is glazed and very slick.

Gregg, are you the guy with the wolf for a pet? I'll follow up and keep on your satellite blog.

Yes I had wolves here but they aren't here anymore.

The girls sure loved your one wolf and we liked you coming out to talk to us a couple of times.

Yeah Kaia was a special girl and everyone loved her because she was so friendly which was not always in her favor. Who is this? Thanks

Ted Trepanier

But, that shouldn't ring a bell. We had five Arctic Cats and one Polaris and all were 600s or less. On the six sleds we were toting up to 10 people. The kids like to climb the rock and the outhouse.

Kira sure missed the wolf last year. I don't think she was around.

Ted, I remember ya'll, you did have a crowd. Kaia was the female gray wolf I had Nashaba was the male that never got too close, usually watched from the trees. Kaia knew to go to the back of snowmobiles because that is where food was stashed. She loved people and attention along with traveling, several time to Stehekin with other hikers, showing hiker's how to get their dogs over Little Giant where it was so steep, helping forest service workers get out of frozen tree wells, and surprising people by showing up around their homes. If it wasn't for the orange collar and bells most folks would have really been scared upon meeting them. I miss them very much. If ya'll do any riding out this way stop in. Thanks for saying hello.

You didn't have to put them down, did you? I know she never bothered the snowmobilers but we were talking at work about summer and how the kids interract when there is no snow.

Dogs have too short a life span.

We are getting ready to leave and may or may not make it all the way to Trinity. Kira is now 11 and is starting her own machine, which means slower than slow.

Hope you can make it out here. You say that now but in a month or 2 you will be hoping she lets off the trigger to go slower, she'll leave you behind and have to wait for you. Have a great ride
