Where you can find out what the snow conditions are at Trinity, if the trails are groomed to Trinity, how much new snow we get from my observations and what sledder's tell me.

The POW is Here 34" this Morning
Well after not much to speak of for the last month until this past week we were at 4' of snow, but that has all changed we got 34" this morning @ 27 degrees...It's fluffy and deeeep so get out and enjoy it but be safe at least this is what we wanted just didn't expect it in one 24 hour period...Think we'll be staying in since to go anywhere means trudging through waist deep snow and as long as I can still connect to the internet right now inside is looking good...Be safe out there today...Peace

2" of New snow and still snowing
Good Morning it's 27 degrees and snowing and this morning we had 2" of new snow...Last night the clouds cleared away enough for the snow to glisten and brighten up the valley enough to see the mountains all around and we still have 2 days til full moon now if it will just clear each night, but we do need the snow...Get out and enjoy it while it's here...Peace

White Trees once again 8" of Snow
It seems as if it's been forever since we really have any real snow to speak of but since yesterday we've gotten 8" of snow some of it wet some of it drier...but at least it's snow...Keep those dancing boots on as we still could use a nice big dump since we are just at about 58" in the middle of Feb and that's not a good thing. Get out and enjoy it if you can...Peace

Whoop whoop 3" of Snow finally
Well after almost a month of nothing but warmer temps and several inches of rain we woke up this morning to 3" of wet snow, all the trees are tipped in white and it looks beautiful with all the dirty snow now perfectly white and clean once again...We are currently holding around 50" of snow-pack left which is nothing for this time of year and why we need some more, like all the snow that passed us and headed East the last couple of weeks...
The last couple of years this seems to be the pattern the east coast gets our snow, they cry because they are getting hammered and have no idea what to do with it while those of us who live for snow watch our snow disappear turning to springtime conditions during the middle of winter...not a good thing at all...Keep dancing get those snow-boots white, hit the drums harder and lets turn this rain back into snow to enjoy the next couple of months...Peace

FINALLY it's Snowing Again
There is only about 1/2" of fresh snow right now but it is still snowing and normally I would be very happy seeing that, unfortunately it's 34 degrees and with a freshly groomed trail yesterday this fresh snow will make it nice riding at least...After not getting but 2 " of snow the past 3 weeks and what snow we did get never made it very long and was melted before the next days snow report. It's nice to see but not sure how long it will stick around and after such warming trends going on lately which has only made it sloppy I'm not sure how to react, so gonna keep on dancing...Get out and enjoy it while it's here as it might not be here too long...Peace

Another 15" of POW
Good Morning it's 33 degrees and we got another 15" of POW since yesterday morning and still coming down...We now have almost 7' on our gauge in back and 6.5' up at the sno-tel site up above here. Temps are warmer but the snow is still fairly dry and very fluffy and what base had formed is now soft again and you can punch through if not careful, not the best snow for snowshoes at all...This is supposed to continue today and tonight and possibly turn to rain tomorrow through Friday but being where we are anything is possible as we've seen over and over...Lots of snow sliding off the roofs forming the snow caves once again...Get out and enjoy the POW but be safe out there...Peace

Finally some snow sorta
Good Morning it's 29 degrees and we got just a tad over 1" of wet snow with a little freezing rain crust which should help settle it a little more...The road to Trinity was just groomed and in great shape up this direction but wet and rainy down new Atkinson flats...We should be getting more snow after tomorrow and through the weekend with cooler temps once again...If anyone is planning to ride up this way I have a favor to ask before you do...email me @ trinity5.peace@yahoo.com or reply in comments please...Peace

No New Snow but Cooler
Good Morning it's 27 degrees and snowing lightly but no new snow overnight, so now the blue skies have been replaced with snowy skies and supposed to get colder tonight finally...This can make things interesting...Had lots of sledders up here yesterday enjoying the bluebird day and playing in the POW so even though the road isn't groomed it's pretty well packed from the sledders and not much snow expected today and supposed to clear tomorrow...Get out and enjoy the snow it does a body good...Peace

30 Degrees and 5" of POW
Good Morning it's 30 degrees and another 5" of POW here in Paradise...The trail was groomed on Sat night and has had about 20" of new POW on top of that...Yesterday only saw 6 sledders out this far and they report the road is great nice and smooth with no traffic, they made first tracks...If your still on holiday this is a great day to get out and enjoy the wonderful playground, can even see the sky and surrounding mountains, get out and enjoy it does a body good...Peace

15" of New POW
Good Morning it's 30 degrees and there is a new 15" of POW here this morning so many of the tracks from yesterday are lightly etched in the snow and it has just started snowing once again...we are showing 6.5' on the gauge and the houses are almost completely covered in their winter dress...Snow caves, no wonder it was so warm this morning...Get out and enjoy this snow it's not as wet as the snow from yesterday, make it a great day...Peace

2" of Snow and a Groomed trail
Good morning after hope you all had a blessed day, it's 33 degrees and we got 2 " of new snow yesterday with the warmer temps snow is settling some and it's a little wetter but not bad at all. Last night they groomed all the way to the TH turnaround which will make it easier for sledders to get here after a tree came down night before blocking the road...So for those of you who want to try out their new presents today is a good day to give it a shot so get out and enjoy...Based on what I'm seeing here off trail is forming a base but these warmer temps are effecting it a little but still not punchy like it's been...Peace

Merry Christmas got 11" to Play in...
Merry Christmas from Paradise, it's 33 degrees and we got 11" of POW since yesterday which brings us to over 6' of compacted snow on the ground here... This snow is a little wetter so you can almost make a snowball with it and there is at least a base forming now and even off trail only shin to knee deep instead of punching through to your chest...There is a bottom now but power is still your friend especially when playing off trail...
Peace, Bear, Lillie, Gizmo & I want to wish you all the very best for this holiday season filled with Peace, Love and Happiness...now get out and enjoy this snow...Peace

4" of POW
Good Morning it's 29 degrees and overnight we got 4" of new POW, the snow is starting to compact some and not quite as easy to punch through off trail...The trail to Trinity hasn't been groomed since last Wed night but there have been several sledders out to the trailhead turn around...Funny thing is that most of them had to be only trail riders because instead of using the entire road they make one track and everyone seems to use that one track...It's less than 1' on the trail so a nicer smoother run is to be had if not using the single track...That is one thing I have never understood but they will leave 3-5' snowbanks to make a single file trail instead of using the entire trail, if that is all they are gonna do why groom as wide is my question...Get out and enjoy the snow it's not getting some base to it but up here could be 6-15" of new snow on top...Get out and enjoy it, if anyone is thinking of running up this way and wouldn't mind please stop by Midway and pick up my mail and some 1/2n1/2 it will be greatly appreciated...Peace

6" of baby fine POW
Good Morning it's 29 degrees and the days are getting longer now, we got a total of 6" yesterday of baby fine pow, but with the warmer temps it tries to make a snowball and better than it has been many of the bigger snow pillows formed after the rain have now been covered over pretty well, just be careful when getting off trail or off your sled you can end up chest deep in snow if not prepared and most of all know the conditions of where you are playing...Get out and enjoy the beautiful whiteness, have fun and remember power is your friend in deep soft snow...Peace

7" of New POW Overnight
Good Morning it's 28 degrees and overnight we got another 7" of POW and I do mean baby powder fine POW...For anyone wanting to get out and play in the snow today and especially sledders or snowshoers possibly if you come this direction and get off the trail remember Power is your friend, very easy to stick yourself if not paying attention and stepping off your sled could put you chest deep in snow...Skies are gray and overcast but the snow is white and sticky...Get out and enjoy it today...Peace
